    HAPPY BIRTHDAY GALE

Still the most empathetic actor ever and it has been my privilege to watch you; still my favourite artist; still so beautiful, still with so much more talent!
Happy Birthday Gale, have a wonderful day!

P.S. Sorry, I don't know who made this icon - but it's gorgeous.

Joss Whedon is a genius, he does it again!
I hadn't seen any 'Firefly' so was curious ... and bloody hell, it was a fucking fantastic ride! Why didn't I watch the series? *issheepish* Off to buy the DVD now though.

On a very shallow note: Nathan Fillion is now number three screen-BF, behind Viggo and the eternal Number One - Gale Harold. Nathan does look a bit like Gale, he's got a similar style of features and an athletic build.
    Huh! I guess I have a type :)

If you haven't seen this film I'd highly recommend it. The writing is so smart and interesting and amusing and the acting is top-notch. *sighs*
Yes! good writing! Eat your hearts out CowLip!

Oh, the Absolute Joy of the extras on the 'Return of the King' EE DVD. For a while it was Peace on Earth ... in my own little world, at least.

Viggo Mortensen, you surely are a beautiful man inside and out, and I think all your cast-mates noticed it!!!!! ;)
I'll say no more in case any of my Flist found this treasure under the tree and haven't yet abandoned all the feasting and boozing to curl up and totally bliss out with it. It is so wonderful not to be disappointed... *v. happy sigh*

Speaking of disappointment, even today I have spared a thought for my beloved Brian Kinney, after the latest S5 promo:

    Happy Birthday Randy ....
At last I'm back online although I had to shell out for a new comp to acheive it - Christmas presents from me this year are going to be handmade fruit cakes probably!

And it's November the 2nd - Randy Harrison's Birthday. I have a few words to mark the occasion:
I managed to last through my month of exile mainly through obsessively watching the Season 1 DVDs that I opicked up on my trip to NYC in September. This made me not only fall in love all over again with Brian (is there a more beautiful, deliciously troubled man ANYWHERE?), but Justin was so hot, sweet, brave, sexy, funny...I just love the little shit.

I may (just occasionally) have issues with some things Randy says in interviews but there's no way to deny his talent and I've been reminded of this so forcefully; I guess you can't blame him for being a bit disappointed with the writing for Justin lately. But his acting in Season 1 was truly magnificent - in the commentary he says this was his first time on film? Aaaa-mazing!

So I salute his talent and not just his pretty-ass looks. May all his ambitions be fulfilled and all his wishes come true this year and every year (I expect he'd like a Kerry win but I have no vote to help with that), and may he continue to be as shiny-happy as recent pictures and reports suggest.

    Fantasy Fucking ...
I'm away on my hols soon and wanted to update afore I go - well I don't update often *is lame* - but I'm two parts rat-arsed and therefore am thinking Very Deep Thoughts.

    Thoughts about MEN.

So I want to update My List. That is, My List Of Men I'd Get To Know In The Biblical Sense - given one thousandth of a chance.
Waning: Maybe TMI. Very probably TMI:

    1) Gale Harold. Duh! No brainer.
Not only gorgeous, beautiful, amazing (and mad-as-a-box-of-badgers), but also he is The Sexy x 1,000000.

    2) Still got to be Viggo Mortensen. Handsome, talented, lives outside the box (<---that was an understatement) and has
    wonderfully expressive eyes!

    3) Coming up on the inside - it's Johnny Depp. Always thought Johnny was breathtaking to look at, but after PotC - I love his sense of humour. That's a big plus in my Book.

    I'm sure Johnny is thrilled.

    4) I am so into Matt Damon since The Bourne Supremacy. He reminds me of Randy Harrison but more butch. I hear rumours that he's gay but I choose to ignore them. Matt and I would be perfect because he has a lovely physique and a sweet face and a very lickable chest.
And I would have a lively appreciation of these attributes ...

    5) At this point I have to list Tom Welling, just because ... GUH!.
Have you seen him? Very Pretty (yet masculine) Boy!
That's really all I can say about him as I don't have any sense of his personality, but weighing that against his lovely face - superficiality winz!
    It's O.K. Tom, you're in!

    6) Ditto to Julian McMahon really. Know nothing about him at all ('cept I think he's classically tall, dark and handsome - like an American Mr. Darcy).
But if he was up for it, would I let a lack of in-depth knowledge about his personality stop me?
Answers on a postcard please ...

    7) I also have this weird thing about Kyan Douglas. Sweet, funny, good-looking, and he knows about hair!
Of course he's gay, but if I grew a nine-inch dick and got him extra extra drunk maybe?
No? Look, this is MY fantasy ...

    8) And bringing up the rear, it's my latest discovery - Gael Garcia Bernal. *Drools*
Has anyone else seen this guy? Does good Indie films (including playing a sexy transvestite in Bad Education). Used to go out with Nathalie Portman. He's Mexican, talented, sexy and (very welcome) he dresses with individual style.
(N.B. Randy Harrison - it is NOT necessary, at 25/6 years old, to dress like an accountant on acid.
For the Love of God, WHY?
I personally think it's because his sooper-intellektuel BF is boring and this style of dressing affords him some means of escape.)
Plus, Gael has the same name as my number one - Gale. This makes me happy. I don't know why ...

Note 1 - I do not include Randy Harrison on this list because strange to say he doesn't really do it for me. But if I was a gay bloke, he'd probably be at number 2!
However, Randy AND Gale would be even better than Gale on his own I think, but threesomes are always tricky ...

Note 2 - Hugh Jackman has fallen off the bottom of my list because I handed over six good British pounds to see Van Helsing ...

Note 3 - if I was being totally honest, I'd include Owen Wilson because his voice does something to my knees. But I can't quite own up to wanting to fuck the guy behind it ...

Note 4 - all the above named should note that they should work very hard to stay attractive, talented and sexy - or my list may change at a moment's notice!!!

This warning does not apply to Gale Harold. Obviously.

    Gale Harold!
    It's Gale's thirty-fifth Birthday! Here's thirty-five to celebrate this 10th July, 2004:

    1) He's set a new standard for male beauty that I don't see being matched anytime soon.

    2) He brings gays and straights, male and female together in groups to drool admire.

    3) He wears nice hats.

    4) He looks even sexier next to/on top of/underneath Randy Harrison.

    5) He is very articulate with his hip movements, especially in shower scenes.

    6) Even when he's scruffy, he's hot.

    7) He has sexy feet. Very few men have sexy feet ...

    8) He is the bravest actor! He took the part of Brian Kinney when no-one else would and made it totally his own.

    9) He looks very good in pin-stripes.

    10) The faces he makes as 'Brian receiving a blow-job from Justin Taylor' are works of sublime beauty.

    11) Lad/Gal Hero - is an anagram of Gale Harold.

    12) He apparently doesn't have a 'personal relationship' with Hal Sparks. This is a cause for celebration because Gale/Hal RPS would be SQUICKY!

    13) He can do handstands!

    14) His interview style is unique!

    15) He can wear an iridescent cream suit with a pink shirt, AND get away with it!

    16) He has a good friend in Randy Harrison.

    17) The beeeautiful physicality of Gale Harold has been captured on film for posterity.

    18) He gave us Brian Kinney.

    19) He made us love Brian Kinney.

    20) He has said that, when he and Randy do sex scenes, they like to do them 'as raw as possible'! This is a cause for great rejoicing in my book.

    21) He has the most incredible long legs!

    22) He looks great in leather!

    23) He is what the 'wife-beater' was invented for.

    24) Gale arms. 'Nuff said.

    25) He surely boosted the cowrie shell trade single handed.

    26) He has a mysterious sexy tattoo. This is hot!

    27) He tans beautifully. This is a great service to the viewing public. No Orange. (Bobby, take note!)

    28) He has NOT formed a band and inflicted it on the general public.

    29) He doesn't conform to the 'Hollywood' type, which would cause me to lose respect for him.

    30) He is going to be incredibly beautiful well into his forties. Two words. Bone. Structure.

    31) He photographs very well. Let's celebrate things like the 'Vanity Fair' shoot!

    32) Nine Inches?

    33) He said: 'We're just people', about the title - 'Queer as Folk'. That's the most telling and concise discourse on the subject of the ground-breaking merit of the show ever.

    34) He turns me on.

    35) I don't know him, I'm never going to meet him, he'll never know I exist. But I LIKE him, dammit, and I'm glad he's alive in this world!

I'd love to see more pics of Gale though. If Gale shows I bet he's in tight jeans, unbuttoned (please dear god!) white shirt and leather jacket! *droolz*

    Ho Hum ...
Well, little did I realise that if there were to be a major disruption of the lj G/R party, I would be lacking in day-dreaming images!!!

So this must be why, when I was trolling through a friend's list and saw an icon of Brian followed hard *heh* by an icon of Red!Clark, I just thought ... YUMMY!

I'm not usually one for total AU's or crossovers, but:

This image sprang into my filthy mind!
Clark on Red, all powerful and sinister but still a bit of an untutored pratt and Brian Kinney, horny as hell, on the troll for fresh meat, and definitely in the mood to tutor!
They are invading each other's personal space in an alley outside a club - letting each other know by the intense cockiness of their mutual regard that they have no regard for The Queensbury Rules.
That they have every intention of striking Below The Belt!

Brain would have to have Rage's superpowers though, just to even things up in all sorts of interesting ways.
(My vote is Brian for Top!)
If only I could write it, I would - to stave off the massive BOREDOM!

BTW this image is set in a time before Brian met Justin, no disruption to my OTP is tolerated - even in random day-dreams!

    Gale musings ...
Lots of fevered speculation around the place about Gale's whereabouts at the moment, some of it is of the Bitterness variety, yet again!!!! LOSERS :(

It occurred to me that perhaps he's in an audition process for something - or going about lining something up for the hiatus?

I really hope so, I'd love to see Gale get more good and varied parts - he seems like a real dedicated actor!

I've said this before but I think Gale's really got 'it' in terms of screen presence. He reminds me a bit of Viggo Mortensen like that, there's really something essential (of or constituting the essence of a person) that comes across in their performances and more often than not they really hit the spot for the viewer. They both also seem to go for unusual projects - rather the big film star/crap film route.

I understand that Viggo is as 'mad as a box of badgers', and Gale is also a bit of an individual ... sign of some actorly genius type stuff? I mean, I know genius is an over-used word and maybe Gale hasn't worked enough to apply it - but, watch this space IMO!

    Elijah!
Well, that was really good actually. The more I see of Mr. Wood, the more I think he's a complete sweetie.

The most bizarre moment came near the beginning when Graham Norton asked about the intensity of the LotR fan-base and Elijah said 'yeah' and 'wow' and mentioned that they are called 'Ringers' (cue scattered snickering) and they even 'write fanfic AND there's even a site that has manipulated images of the hobbits with a homosexual slant, but he couldn't remember the address!' And Graham Norton had it bookmarked! He said he wasn't sure whether to show it originally because Elijah might have been offended but since the guy brought the subject up himself ... So he brings up the (I guess) front-page of the site and it's three manips of naked Sam and Frodo gazing lovingly at each other, or about to kiss.
It was so weird! There was Elijah sitting looking at these images saying 'It looks like us! But we never took photos like that, really!'
And the great thing was, he wasn't upset or particularly embarrassed, he just had this look of amazement on his face like 'that's some imagination!'

    Very engaging bloke!
